Terms of Service
The basics of working with us. We'll walk you through anything that matters before any wrench moves.
Estimates & Approvals
- Every job starts with a written estimate. We won't touch the vehicle until you approve the line items in your customer portal or in person.
- If we discover something during the job that changes the estimate, we stop and call you. Nothing extra gets billed without your okay.
- Verbal estimates are starting points, not commitments. Written estimates are what we honor.
Payment
- Deposits may be required on large jobs (engine builds, full chassis work, etc.). We'll specify upfront.
- Final balance is due when the vehicle is picked up. We accept card, ACH, and cash.
- Vehicles left more than 30 days after work is complete may be subject to storage fees.
Warranty
- Labor performed by Mad Labs is warrantied for 12 months / 12,000 miles from completion date, whichever comes first.
- Parts we install carry whatever warranty the manufacturer provides. We'll help you file claims on covered parts.
- Customer-supplied parts are installed but not warrantied by us. We'll happily reinstall a replacement if a part fails, but labor is billable.
- Tuning warranty: we stand behind our tunes. If anything is off, bring it back and we'll adjust at no charge.
What's Not Covered
- Misuse, racing on public roads, or modifications added after our work that may have caused a failure
- Failures caused by towing, accidents, or environmental damage
- Vehicles serviced or modified by another shop after our work
Photos & Public Listings
- We take photos of every build for our records. Some may end up on our public builds page, social media, or marketing materials.
- You control what's public. In your customer portal under My Builds & Privacy, you can approve or deny photos, dyno sheets, and your name being shared. We respect those settings.
- You can change your mind anytime. If you withdraw consent, the build comes off the public site.
Cancellation
- Scheduling can be changed up to 48 hours before your appointment without penalty.
- Deposits on ordered parts are non-refundable once parts have been ordered from the supplier (we can't return them either).
Disputes
If something goes wrong, talk to us first. We'd much rather fix it than fight about it. We're a small shop — your reputation with us matters and ours with you matters. Most disputes are resolved with a phone call.
